Musical Theatre Teachers - Full Time

Stages Academy, a performing arts preschool and afterschool program, is looking for a Lead Academic teacher for our Buckingham location! 

We are a school based on the Reggio Emilia approach and provide a program that challenges a child's whole brain by putting academics and the arts on an even playing field. Our unique program allows students to attend classes on a rotational basis, in 35-minute intervals throughout the day, providing them with the opportunity to learn from a wide variety of teachers and staff.

Our Musical Theater teacher is responsible for teaching students all aspects of theater and dramatic play! All students learn the parts of the stage, learn to express and act out emotions, and explore various dramatic play themes.

Our Music teacher is responsible for teaching students all aspects of music! All students learn to sing, musical theory, and our older students learn to play piano as well as other simple percussion instruments.

​

Our Dance teacher is responsible for teaching students ballet, tap, and other dance styles. All of our students take daily dance classes starting at age 2.

​

The music, dance, and musical theater teachers are also responsible for putting together pieces for our biannual recitals.

​

Candidates should:

• have a performing arts degree OR relevant field and experience,

• have experience teaching and supervising young children,

• have experience writing and implementing weekly lesson plans,

• be friendly, detail-oriented, creative, and a team player.

We pay a minimum of $14/hour (based on your level of education) with 4 opportunities throughout the first year to earn an additional $4.50 per hour! Raise your pay an additional $1 per hour as early as your first day! Benefits package available to full-time employees.

Both positions are full-time, 8:00-5:30 or 8:30-6:00 positions.
